This course is designed to help participants understand the legal and safe use of firearms in Thaba Nchu. It is intended to cover a variety of topics including: the rules of firearm ownership, safety tips, marksmanship basics, loading/unloading procedures, shooting stances and more. The course will also provide information on local laws governing firearm usage.
Class Requirements:
• A valid South African driver’s license or identity document
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have an understanding of basic English
• Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement
• Bring along hearing protection and any other required gear for your firearms
• Completion of pre-course paperwork
Course Outline:
1. Introduction to Firearms – An overview of various types of firearms and ammunition, basic firearm components and operation, legal considerations for owning a firearm, responsible gun ownership principles, safety procedures and storage considerations.
2. Marksmanship Basics – Sight alignment, breath control and trigger control. This module includes classroom instruction as well as practice at a shooting range.
3. Loading/Unloading Procedures – Steps for loading and unloading different types of firearms safely and correctly. Hands-on experience in a safe environment is provided.
4. Shooting Stances – Discussion about standing, kneeling and prone shooting positions with emphasis on stability when firing a weapon accurately; followed by hands-on experience at the range using these techniques while shooting different types of firearms with precision accuracy.
5. Legal Considerations – Overview of South African laws pertaining to owning and using firearms; handling disputes between firearm owners; engaging in defensive tactics when threatened; defending yourself from wildlife predators etc…
6. Testing & Certification – At the end of the course participants must successfully pass both written (75%) & practical (80%) tests before receiving their Firearms Competency Certificate issued by Thaba Nchu SAPS Police Station under Firearm Act 60 0f 2000 .

1. Establish a team of Control Room Operators who are adequately trained and knowledgeable in all relevant control room regulations, guidelines and processes.
2. Introduce the operators to the plant’s specific layout and general operational information regarding process parameters, equipment type, design capabilities and maintenance needs.
3. Ensure that the operators receive detailed training in identifying, understanding and addressing potential safety issues in the control room.
4. Teach operators to properly monitor system operations, understand and use key operating data, recognize abnormalities and safely take appropriate action when necessary.
5. Guide them through the startup, shutdown and other important procedures including communication with outside personnel or suppliers in accordance with plant requirements.

8. Educate operators on proper reporting protocols and investigate possible solutions to reduce the possibility of safety incidents due to human error within the control room environment..
9. Provide refresher courses at regular intervals to keep operators up-to-date on new processes, techniques and tools in order to improve their efficiency while reducing any risk of negligence in operating controls.

This cash in transit training course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to safely handle and secure cash while it is being transported from one location to another. The program includes detailed information on safety procedures, driver responsibilities, and the use of advanced technology such as CCTV, armored vehicles, tracking systems, and more. The course also covers relevant legal and regulatory issues.
This training course is available at our Thaba Nchu Training Center. It runs over two days with eight hours of classroom instruction per day. The fee for this training is R 500. Participants should bring their valid ID cards with them when they come to the center.
